The Cross-Check is an excellent bike for the kind of riding available around here. The area is rural with a mix of paved and dirt roads.

"I have been using a Cross-Check for 30-plus miles of commuting a day
for the past couple of years. Its geometry lets me wail through a couple
of favorite corners on the route but still bomb down a hill that dumps onto
dirt at 40 mph. It's agile enough for traffic. Very versatile bike. Two
