About The Nordic Skier
Verna Flagg founded The Nordic Skier back in 1972. The idea for the Nordic Skier had come from Verna's visit with a friend to Conway, NH where they both took a cross country ski lesson . After she returned home she realized that No-wax skis could not be purchased anywhere in the Wolfeboro, NH area. She and her husband Cal then decided to start their own shop.
Thousands of skis later, The Nordic Skier is still serving the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, New England and now the entire World on this website.
The Nordic Skier is the official Headquarters for the Wolfeboro XC Ski trail system. Wolfeboro has over 30k of machine groomed skate and track set trails. The trail network is maintained by the Wolfeboro XC Ski Association
